Wicker Park's Bangers and Lace Has Surprising Twist

BeerLooking for a neighborhood Chicago bar and restaurant to frequent over the holidays? Check out Wicker Park’s Bangers and Lace!

Offering nearly 100 beer varieties, thirty two of which are draft, you’d be hard pressed to find a better place to quench your thirst. A chalkboard lists the twenty beers on tap by name and number to allow for ease of ordering, as well.
Bangers and Lace offers much more than beer, however. A menu specially selected to accompany the wide selection of brews, dining options include snacks, plates, sandwiches, dogs, and sweets. In fact the name, Bangers and Lace comes from the menu options. “Bangers” is British slang for sausage and “Lace” refers to the foam on a well crafted beer that clings to the glass.
Recently opened, at 1670 Division, between Damen and Ashland, Bangers and Lace transports patrons into a world far removed from the typical Chicago scene. Exposed brick, worn wood floors, a large fireplace, mounted taxidermied trophy animals, and forest themed unisex bathrooms may have you thinking you are in a British hunting lodge and pub.
