Tomorrow marks the first day of 2012, a new year. A day traditionally set for setting goals and making plans. If your new year goals include a fitness program, you may want to join in the 27th Annual New Year’s Day 5K Run/Walk. Held near your Chicago home at Lincoln Park, registration will still be available on race day by going to the field house at Stockton & LaSalle at 9:30 a.m. The actual race begins at 11 a.m. at the south end of Lincoln Park and will you take you past many of the finest lakefront homes in Chicago. The race will conclude at North Avenue Field House.
The first 1,500 participants to register will receive a long sleeved t-shirt and all are welcome to join in the fun at the after party held at Sedgwicks Bar & Grill. Trophies and raffle prizes will be awarded at the restaurant and participants will also receive a beverage (ID must be shown for alcoholic beverages).
