Kids can’t get enough of spending time with Santa? Here are five events around Chicago this month where you — that is, your little ones — can spend some quality time with the jolly old elf himself:

Santa Saturdays at the Driehaus Museum:  Create holiday memories with the entire family at Santa Saturdays at the Driehaus Museum! To celebrate the traditions of Gilded Age America that continue to make our winter holidays special today, the Driehaus Museum presents two Saturday mornings filled with family fun! Throughout the morning, Chicago’s own Aunt Holly will tell lively stories and sing songs.  Enjoy festive treats and create holiday art projects. Take home a complimentary family portrait taken in the elegantly festooned Ballroom to commemorate your day.  Don’t forget to see Santa Claus and share your dearest wish! Ticket includes Museum general admission. Saturdays, December 13 and 20, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.Children 12 years and under $8; Adults $12.

Breakfast with Santa: Enjoy a delicious all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet during Brookfield Zoo’s annual Breakfast with Santa. Youngsters will have the opportunity to share their wish lists with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will be on hand along with some of the zoo’s costumed characters. The breakfast will be held in the zoo’s Discovery Center. Photo opportunities will be available with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Musical entertainment will make for an uplifting fun time for your entire family to enjoy. Reservations are required. Back by popular demand, Banjo Buddies will be providing the musical entertainment! 

Breakfast with Santa and SUE: Add some history to your family traditions and celebrate the holidays at The Field Museum! During Breakfast with Santa and SUE, you can enjoy a buffet breakfast in the historic Stanley Field Hall. After breakfast, you’ll get to share all of your holiday wishes when you take your picture with Santa and SUE. Saturdays. Three seatings are available: 8 a.m.; 8:30 a.m.; 9 a.m. Seating is limited To purchase tickets, or for more information, call 312-665-7705 between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Your tickets also include general admission to the Museum following the event.

Holiday Magic: Enjoy a family tradition or start a new one at Brookfield Zoo’s Holiday Magic, Chicagoland’s largest lights festival that features more than one million LED twinkling lights, singing to the animals, professional ice-carving demonstrations, magnificent light shows, and special visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Select animal exhibits will remain open, as will zoo restaurants and gift shops (where guests can find gifts for those hard-to-shop-for loved ones). Enjoy a full schedule of live entertainment, magic shows, a friendly 38-foot talking tree, costumed characters, a model train display, and more. Saturdays & Sundays, 4 – 9 p.m.

Shedd Holiday Breakfasts: Shedd Holiday Breakfasts are back! Treat the family to a special holiday experience, journeying through the snowcapped scene during a private viewing of the 15-minute, The Polar Express 4-D Experience, sponsored by ComEd. The seasonal feature will engage all of the senses through effects, such as air bursts, spouts of water, leg ticklers, seat buzzers and much more. The holiday experience continues with a drawing for special prizes and a visit with Santa, where you can snap a photo and receive a free gift. Explore Shedd’s Polar Play Zone and finish your special day with reserved seats to Holiday One World.
