Family Days Not Far From Home For Gold Coast Residents

Gold Coast families need not stay home bound this winter. The Museum of Contemporary Art, located at 220 East Chicago Avenue, along the Magnificent Mile, is offering Family Days to residents during this snowy season.

Beginning today with “’Tis the Season,” families with children under twelve receive free admission on the second Saturday of each month, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. On January 8th, the theme is “Color Me Space” and will have the whole family interacting.

Children and parents are encouraged to explore using everyday materials and creativity at these shared art experiences. From musical activities to collaborative art, these days are to be treasured as time well spent. A riddle scavenger hunt is even arranged for the day with clues hiding throughout the museum’s galleries. Children are asked to visit the registration table when finished for a special prize.
