Start 2011 off with some shared family experiences near your Chicago home. Starting January 8 the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago in Gold Coast will be hosting their Family Day every second Saturday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Admission is free for families (with children under twelve) and the shared art activities will be geared for all ages and unique to each experience.
January’s Family Day is entitled “Color Me In Space.” Activities will include three “Creation Stations” offering fort building, shape experimentation, and scratch-drawings, along with a Look & Learn exhibition and Scavenger Hunt relating to museum art.
The Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago is located at 220 East Chicago Avenue and is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Discounted parking, with museum validation, is available in the Museum’s parking garage and bike parking is available at no charge.
