Spectacular Events Happening LIVE in Chicago
- Millenium Park hosts an Independence Eve Celebration on July 3rd at 6:30 p.m with the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus. View the program guide here.
- The Fourth of July Annual Event at the Chicago History Museum will be hosted from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on July 4th. This fantastic free celebration includes a peek at the world’s tallest Uncle Sam, musical performances, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, and a delightful costumed children’s parade, all seen at 1601 North Clark Street. - Navy Pier gathers all who live in Chicago to the downtown lakefront at 9:30 p.m. on Independence Day. An extensive show will light up the sky and your patriotism as you watch and listen to music accompanied by fireworks. If you find you just can’t get out on the 3rd or the 4th, you can look forward to more to keeping the celebration going, as the fireworks will also be shown on July 6th at 10:15 p.m.
- Many dramatic, nighttime cruises travel the three branches of the historic Chicago River, too, giving beautiful views of the fireworks and Chicago’s well-known skyscrapers. You’ll also have a clear view of the Navy Pier’s spectacular fireworks display from the mouth of the Chicago River when traveling by boat, too.
