Rosie O’Donnell, the former talk-show host for the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), lost $147,000 on her 2.25 million house in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood. She initially bought the 6,000 square foot house from the president of OWN, but later resold it to $2.103 million to a personal injury attorney. The 12-room house was under contract just a day after it was listed in the market.
O’Donnel hosted “The Rosie Show” until the show was cancelled after just one season. She had lived in the house for some time, then later moved into a corporate apartment to commute back to her family-based home in New York. She sold the house early March, just a shy away from the show’s cancellation on March 16. Its last episode was aired March 29.
The house includes 11-foot ceilings and a 2,000 square foot deck. It has five full baths and two half-baths, with its own customized cabinets, a sports bar, a landscaped outdoor space, home theater, and three-car garages.
