The Saxophone Summit this year brings jazz musicians James Perkins, Juli Wood, Kevin Nabors, Rajiv Orozco and Pat Malinger, along with pianist Kirk Brown, bass player Junius Paul, and drummer Clif Wallace to the South Shore Cultural Center for a free event! Many of these musicians are local artists who live in Chicago! Held on November 4th, and beginning at 7 p.m., JazzCity, in collaboration with the Jazz Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Park District, will fill the air of city parks with music, as it has since 1997. The South Shore Cultural Center is located at 7059 S. South Shore Drive, near your Chicago home.
This event celebrates the past, present and future of jazz in Chicago! Bring along your family and friends and experience the depth and variety that Jazz City seeks to offer. Another concert, Blowin’ in the Wind,” is scheduled on December 9th at 7 p.m. at Hamilton Park. To find out more, click here.
