This weekend the blues take center stage at one of Chicago’s largest free music festivals. From June 10th through the 12th, the Chicago Blues Festival performers entertain on five different stages, establishing Chicago as the “Blues Capital of the World.” From afternoon through evening, over 500,000 fans will venture from their Chicago homes to be a part of this traditional and exciting fun weekend. Past performers include Bonnie Raitt, Ray Charles, B.B. King, the late Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy and the late Koko Taylor and this year will feature Shirley Johnson, Eddy “The Chief” Clearwater, Billy Branch, Magic Slim and many more. The festival will occur at Grant Park and a complimentary bike valet will even be offered by Sierra Mist Natural Bike Valet, making it easy to get to from wherever you live in Chicago.
