Snow Days Chicago!

Celebrate all things winter at Snow Days Chicago at Navy Pier on February 7 & 8!

International teams of talented professional snow sculptors come to Navy Pier and Polk Bros Park to create masterpieces out of 10-foot blocks of man-made snow. The artists begin sculpting on Wednesday, but the free festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday. With fun activities for kids, a snow sculpting competition, nighttime illuminations, guided interactive snowboard experience for kids and more, come outside for the best snow day ever!

This year, 14 professional teams from the US and around the world including Argentina, Germany, Mexico, Ukraine and United Kingdom compete for first, second and third place cash prizes. In addition to the professionals, 12 teams of student sculptors from Chicago area high schools create their own original snow works of art. Marvel at these sculptures day or night. In the evening, a festive light display illuminates these artistic creations.

Warm-up inside and see Shedd Aquarium’s Magellanic Penguins up-close and enjoy their interactive Polar Play Zone booth. Here’s a complete schedule of events:
