Come and join other Lakeview residents as they cheer on the more than 250 “polar bears” who will jump in the icy waters of Lake Michigan at noon. The Polar Bear Club Polar Plunge raises funds to help two families in need each year. This year’s families are the Cottles and the Wagoners, Chicago residents. You can read about their stories by clicking here. After the Plunge, come warm up at Sedgwick’s Bar & Grill in Lincoln Park. Funds raised in the plunge and at the after-party will help raise money for families in need, as well as have a raffle of prizes collected from great, local companies. Party admission is $30 for all-you-can-drink beer, liquor, wine (for the Chicago Heights firemen) and will also include an assortment of appetizers.
