Roscoe Village is a thriving family-oriented neighborhood six miles northwest of the Loop, on Chicago’s north side. The neighborhood is bordered by Belmont Avenue north to Addison Street, and Ravenswood Avenue west to the Chicago River.
A sub-neighborhood of the North Center community area, Roscoe Village brings together boutique styled owner-run businesses and about 6,200 residents. Shopping options are varied, from clothing to designer furniture and music to artwork. Roscoe Village is also well-known for its variety of excellent restaurants.
On tree-lined streets, Roscoe Village real estate is a mix of single family homes or two-flats with large yards, and some converted condominiums, along with new properties. New construction of three-story conventional walkups and duplexes are becoming more prevalent in the neighborhood.
This tight-knit community sponsors the “Retro On Roscoe,” the third largest street fair festival in Chicago. The summer-time festival includes a “Windy City Chili Cook-Off,” antique car show, live entertainment, fantastic food, and unique artisan vendors, allowing visitors a glimpse into Village life.
