Rogers Park

Rogers Park is the northernmost neighborhood of the communities making up the far North side of Chicago. It is richly diverse with many little jewels about it that include: direct access to public beaches along Lake Michigan and Loyola University. In fact, nearly every East-West street in this area ends at a beach! The neighborhood’s boundaries are: Evanston and Howard Street (to the North), Ridge Boulevard to the West, Devon Avenue and the Edgewater area to the South, and Lake Michigan to the East.

Rogers Park offers a dynamic blend of ethnic backgrounds with more than 80 documented languages spoken in the area. Gentrified and growing, much of the formerly rental housing has been converted into condominiums.

Rogers Park offers easy access to public transportation that includes four “L” Red Line stations: Howard, Jarvis, Morse, and Loyola. Additionally, both the Skokie Swift and the Purple Line (formerly known as the Evanston Express) begin in Rogers Park. There are also several bus routes traveling to the Loop and surrounding suburbs. And, the Metra commuter Rogers Park station is centrally located within the Rogers Park neighborhood.
